The New York Dolls

The legendary Glam-Rock band New York Dolls started in 1971 in New York City. After many changes in band members they reformed in 2004 with three of their original members, two of whom, David Johansen and Sylvain Sylvain, continue on today and have released two records of new material.

The New York Dolls influenced a whole era of musicians and bands, such as KISS, Hanoi Rocks, Blondie, The Clash, Ramones, Mötley Crüe, Faster Pussycat and Guns N' Roses.
